FlashFXP is an FTP client, which can also perform server-to-server transfers. FlashFXP's main feature is that it can perform transfers between FTP sites without having to actually download or upload the files on the host computer. This is possible due to the fact that it uses PASV commands to start and finalize the transfers. But this application does much more than that. It comes fully loaded with powerful features that will be very useful for almost every FTP user. The interface is divided into 2 panels, which can be set to Local and FTP site, and the user can combine those to his liking. For example, on the left side, one can have his local folders and files, and, on the right, work's FTP server. Transfers are so easy to initiate that other FTP clients look archaic. All the security features that one looks for in today's FTP clients are there, including SSL, site password protection, and more. The application's queue feature is just great. The user can just select a couple of folders and drag and drop them to the local computer, and FlashFXP will download all the files in that folder and its sub-folders. There is another great feature bundled within this program. It is the ability to copy all the contents of a folder to the clipboard. This is really useful when one needs to catalogue movies, games, etc. All in all, this is the program to go with for heavy-duty FTP users. Version 3.4 adds several improvements, most of which are targeted at improving performance within the local environment and transfer speeds. Security and language integration are also on the list of newly improved features.
